The location of these photographs was Dr. Chan Kieu's imported Vietnamese house in Santa Ana. This is an original antique house located in Northern Vietnam. It was bought by Dr. Chan, who disassembled it and brought the building materials back to the States to reassemble it in Santa Ana.
To create the atmosphere of antiquated images, I chose my equipment accordingly, only using my two favorite cameras and lenses : The Leica Monochrome M246 with 50 mm Summicron ASPH APO F2 as well as an 8x10 Kodak 2D with 14 inches Pinkham Smith soft focus portrait lens. All of these photos were shot with a wide open aperture. Hope you enjoy viewing this collection.
Thanks to Dr. Chan Kieu and his wife for the opportunity to shoot such beautiful images. Also a big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Danny Huynh and the models to host such a nice event.
